SSC Opens 39,481 GD Constable Vacancies for 2025

Staff Selection Commission has invited online applications for a total of 39,481 General Duty Constable vacancies in various Central Armed Police Forces of SSF, Assam Rifles, and the Narcotics Control Bureau. This recruitment drive will fill up multiple vacant positions and is expected to get an enormous number of applications.
All the interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in. The facility will remain open until the last date of receipt. As such, the concerned department suggests that the applicants apply early to avoid issues and delays in the last moments.
Application Requirement: Candidates applying for these posts must have passed their Matriculation or Class 10 Examination from a recognized board or university before January 1, 2025. They must fall in the age bracket of 18 years and 23 years by January 1, 2025, that is, they must have been born between January 2, 2002, and January 1, 2007.

Selection Process:
Selection to the SSC GD Constable 2025 positions will be based on the following stages:
Course Curriculum: At this entrance level, the performance of candidates is tested on aspects like General Intelligence, Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics, and language on 80 questions to be attempted within 60 minutes.
Physical Efficiency Test: Male candidates are required to run 5 km in 24 minutes and female candidates to run 1.6 km in 8.5 minutes. The distance has been relaxed for candidates belonging to Ladakh.
Physical Standard Test (PST): This includes checking the height, chest, and vision of the candidate. Medical Examination and Document Verification: Medical check-up and verification regarding the eligibility criteria of candidates are the last stages. Mass recruitment by SSC is part of the continuous process of strengthening and developing the capabilities of India’s security forces.
