CAT 2024 Registration Deadline is Tomorrow: Know Eligibility and Exam Pattern

The online application window for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 will close tomorrow, September 20. Aspiring candidates who wish to seek admission to postgraduate management courses at Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other premier B-schools can submit their applications at the official website, iimcat.ac.in.

IIM Calcutta will host CAT 2024, while the dates have been scheduled for 24 November. The test will then be held at around 170 cities and towns in India. The candidates can, at the time of application, exercise an option to choose five preferred test cities from a total of 391 cities.
CAT 2024: Edit Window After Registration
After this, applicants will have a small window to edit their application through the application edit window. The applicants will be able to edit fields like photograph, signature, and test city preferences only in case of discrepancies.

Eligibility Criteria for CAT 2024

One must have bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for candidates belonging to ST, SC, and PwD category).

• Or, candidates holding a professional degree like CA, CS, ICWA, or FIAI (Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India) are also eligible to apply with the required percentage.

CAT 2024 Exam Pattern

The CAT 2024 would be a test of 120 minutes duration in three sections:

1.           Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
2.           Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
3.           Quantitative Ability (QA)

Each section will be timed and there will be a fixed amount of time for each section that the candidates will complete. Clearing CAT 2024 is a gateway to get into the premier management programs available in India.

As the deadline for registration draws close, all aspiring candidates are advised to complete their applications and review all their details before the edit window closes.
