The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) carried out surprise inspections in 27 schools across Rajasthan and Delhi on Tuesday, targeting the issue of “dummy schools.” The inspections were part of an initiative to ensure that CBSE-affiliated schools adhere strictly to the Board’s norms and by-laws.
According to a CBSE statement, the findings from these inspections will be thoroughly reviewed, and necessary actions will be taken in cases of non-compliance. The inspections were conducted by 27 teams, each consisting of a CBSE officer and a principal from a CBSE-affiliated school. These inspections were strategically planned to occur simultaneously across all selected schools, ensuring that the process remained unexpected.
The objective was to capture a true reflection of the schools’ day-to-day operations and their compliance with CBSE guidelines. CBSE reiterated its commitment to maintaining high educational standards and emphasized that it will continue to conduct surprise inspections to ensure that affiliated schools meet the Board’s expectations.
