In pursuance of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be offering a special two-day trainer certification course in collaboration with the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM).
The certificate course, which kicked off on August 23, is aimed at reorienting the skills of its Resource Persons. Almost 15,000 RPs will be trained in batches. Areas to be addressed during this endeavor include Direct Trainers’ Skills, Design of Training, and Integrated Approaches to Child and Adolescent Development. This would definitely impact the kind of training to be passed down to teachers in schools across the country.
Of late, the CBSE under the Ministry of Education has taken a strategic initiative of having the training program so that it makes sure that the educators are well-equipped to rise to the emerging needs of their students and the educational standards. For this course, the CBSE has prepared to meet the training needs of about 1.3 million teachers in its affiliated schools.
The course participants will be provided with certificates from CBSE and ISTM, testifying to enhanced competency as trainers. This is a nil-fee course that indicates our commitment to being able to provide good quality professional development that is accessible to all.
This, in fact, indicates how the government is committed to ensuring that educational outcomes improve with purposeful capacity building. Moreover, it will strengthen the training infrastructure for our teachers and move to achieve the larger goals of NEP 2020 where better overall experiences in the field of education are ensured for all students across the country.
