CBSE has started accepting online applications under its Merit Scholarship Schemes. This is for eligible students and the portal is open till 23 December 2024 for two key scholarships that would help single girl children pursue their studies in affiliated schools of the board.

1. Single Girl Child Scholarship X – 2024
   This scholarship is for a single girl student, who has passed her Class 10 CBSE examinations in 2024, and who is currently pursuing their study in Class 11 in schools affiliated to CBSE.
2. Single Girl Child Scholarship X – 2023 (Renewal) 
   Students awarded this scholarship in 2023 can apply for renewal of the scholarship for the year 2024.

How to Apply

Eligible applicants can proceed with the following steps to submit their applications:

1. Open the official web portal of CBSE at cbse.nic.in.
2. Choose ‘Single Girl Child Scholarship X-2024 REG’.
3. Click the fresh or renewal type application link according to your requirement.
4. Click on the corresponding application link, either SGC-X Fresh or Renewal.
5. Fill up the application form and upload the requisite documents.
6. Complete and download a copy to have on file for later reference.

Scholarship Summary

The scholarship is worth ₹500 per month to the student. To be eligible, the charge for tuition paid per month for Class 10 must not exceed an amount of ₹1,500 with 10% increase allowed for Classes 11 and 12.
