Centurion University Hosts 12th Convocation, Honouring 2,876 Graduates

Centurion University of Technology and Management, a leading institution renowned for its excellence in education and skill development, celebrated its Twelfth Convocation at the Bhubaneswar campus. The event marked a significant milestone as 2,738 students from the 2024 batch and 138 from previous batches, including 47 doctoral graduates, were awarded their degrees.
The ceremony was presided over by His Excellency Shri. Raghubar Das, Hon’ble Governor of Odisha and Visitor to the University. The convocation’s illustrious lineup included Chief Guest Hon’ble Justice Shri. Sandeep Mehta, Judge, Supreme Court of India, and Guests of Honour Dr. Sreedhar Panicker Somanath, Secretary and Chairman of ISRO, and Shri. Rajesh Aggarwal, IAS, Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
In his keynote address, Dr. Sreedhar Panicker Somanath urged the graduates to embrace innovation and leverage technology for societal good. “Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders in shaping India’s technological and social landscape. Remain steadfast in your pursuit of knowledge and use it to drive inclusive growth,” he advised.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Supriya Pattanayak applauded the graduates for their dedication and perseverance. She reaffirmed the University’s commitment to sustainable development and its focus on empowering marginalized communities through education and vocational training. “Centurion University stands as a beacon of inclusion and excellence, dedicated to building a just and equitable society,” she stated.
Among the 1,699 attendees, 19 gold medal recipients and 49 merit awardees were specially recognized for their academic and extracurricular achievements. The ceremony also highlighted outstanding contributions to research and co-curricular activities.
Dignitaries, faculty members, and a diverse audience of guests witnessed the grand celebration, which underscored Centurion University’s dedication to nurturing talent and promoting inclusivity in higher education. The convocation reflected the University’s mission to empower individuals with skills and knowledge to lead in a rapidly evolving world.
