GGSIPU and NSUEM Sign MoU for Research Collaboration

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management (NSUEM), Russia and GGSIPU to work in the field of research and higher studies. The MoU was signed by Dr Pavel Novgorodov, Rector, NSUEM and Prof (Dr) Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor, GGSIPU. Prof A K Saini, Prof Vijitha Singh Aggarwal, Vice Rector and several other senior officials of both the institutes were present on the occasion.

Earlier, several decisions were taken during the University officials meeting with the Deans of Schools. A School of Fine Arts, Forensic course and Allied Health College has been proposed to be set up at the GGSIPU campus, which will start functioning from the next academic session. This year, the Teachers Day will be observed with much fanfare on September 5 at GGSIU campus. On the occasion, the teachers will be honoured and the Teacher’s award will also be given away. The senior faculty members will be recognized and the CAS certificates will be awarded.

Padma Shri Prof Mahesh Verma commended the timely admission process and orientation of newly inducted students. It has been decided to carry on the Distance learning in the traditional mode of correspondence course. An offshore centre in Guiana is proposed to be established. The Vice Chancellor’s internship program has received over 20 applications. He informed the Deans that the University has adopted two villages Amberhai and Pochanpur and will make all efforts to establish communities connect having its visibility through the services in the form of legal aid, solar lights, infrastructure, etc.
