How to Study Without Getting Distracted

Share

Distractions are a major obstacle to effective studying. Here are some tips
on how to study without getting distracted:

Find a quiet place to study. This could be a library, a study room,
or even your bedroom if you can make sure that you won't be
interrupted.
Turn off your phone and other electronic devices. If you need to
use your phone for research, put it in airplane mode so that you
won’t be tempted to check social media or text messages.
Set a timer for 25 minutes and study for that amount of time
without taking a break. After 25 minutes, take a 5-minute break to
stretch, walk around, or get a snack.
Take breaks throughout the day to avoid burnout. Get up and
move around, or take a few minutes to relax and clear your head.
Set specific goals for each study session. Like what do you want to
accomplish by the end of the session?
Take notes as you study. This will help you to retain the
information and refer back to it later.
Get enough sleep. When you’re well-rested, you’ll be better able to
focus and concentrate.
With a little effort, you can learn how to study without getting distracted
and improve your academic performance.
