The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has opened officially online registrations for Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2025. All students can submit their online applications and registration on the following official website: uceed.iitb.ac.in. Online application and registration begins from 1 PM on October 1, 2024. The exam is scheduled to be held in a single shift between 9 AM to 12 PM on January 19, 2025.

A candidate can register for UCEED till October 31 without any late fees. For application done after deadline, there are late fees applicable till November 8. Applications are invited from students of all streams science, commerce, and humanities. Subject to satisfying age and qualification eligibility criteria. The candidates belonging to OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category must have been born on or after October 1, 2000 and the candidates belonging to SC, ST, or PwD category must have been born on or after October 1, 1995. Moreover, all applicants will have to appear for the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2024 or 2025.

A UCEED aspirant is allowed to take the test a maximum of two times, only in consecutive years. A UCEED score is valid for only one year, and candidates must ensure that they satisfy all the eligibility criteria before applying.

How to Apply:

Step 1: Visit the Website: Go to uceed.iitb.ac.in and click on the registration link.
Create Login Credentials: Fill basic details such as name, mobile number and email ID to generate login credentials.
Fill Application: Using the login credentials, provide personal and academic details, upload necessary documents and select the exam centre.
Pay Fees and Submit: Completing the registration process by paying the required fee and submitting the form. Keeping a printout for later reference.
Important Dates:

• Last Date of Registration without Late Fee Charge: 31st October 2024
• Last Date of Registration with Late Fee Charge: 08th November 2024
• Downloading of Admit Card: From 03rd January 2025
• Change of Admit Card: 09th January 2025
• Exam Date: 19th January 2025

Once the exam is over, IIT-Bombay will release the provisional answer key on January 21 followed by the final answer key on January 29 after redressal grievances received from candidates. The results are likely to be declared on March 7, and scorecards may be downloaded from March 10 onwards.

Institutions that accept UCEED

For admission to BDes courses offered by top IITs- IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur-a candidate needs to clear UCEED 2025. It is open to both Indian and foreign nationals, and clearing the test opens the gates to some of India’s top design institutes.
