IndiaAI, an initiative under the Digital India Corporation (DIC) of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has issued a call for nominations for its prestigious IndiaAI Fellowship. The fellowship will support BTech, MTech students and PhD scholars working on research on artificial intelligence.

This call has been launched by the Independent Business Division of the IndiaAI to provide students and scholars of all-over the country with an opportunity to work for this initiative aimed to mainstream research in and innovation of AI at leading institutions. The call is invited from nominees who belong to the students currently studying at the top 50 institutions ranked by National Institutional Ranking Framework.
Fellowship to BTech and MTech Students

Students working on AI-related projects in BTech and MTech can submit their applications for these fellowships. The fellowship will fund their project for its duration, distributed further as: BTech for one year of the project; and MTech, for two years. A BTech student must have passed at least three AI-related courses and must be having an aggregate of 80 percent or better grade in the last semester he/she has appeared at. Institute-level justified recommendation with the application will be permitted for students with lower scores.

Fellowship for PhD Scholars

The research scholar at PhD level from NIRF-ranked institute can also apply. The scholar must do AI-related full-time research. Institute approval is a must; no other scholarship/salary received by the scholar at the time of taking admission in the IndiaAI PhD Fellowship.

Selection Process

Selection will be made based on the relevance of the research proposal, the academic profile, and the availability of fellowships at the national level. IndiaAI Fellowship is looking forward to supporting top AI research congruent with the national priorities in this sector.
