Share

The Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India, is set to conduct a national online workshop titled “Mental Health & Cyber Security” with the objective of equipping schoolgoing students with extremely important knowledge that would help them to surf the virtual world safely without any threat to their mental well-being on October 10, 2024.

The workshop, scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM, will also be an interactive forum where students will engage experts in both the mental health and cybersecurity sectors. It fosters education regarding risks that exist because of online activities and provides strategies to maintain a healthy mindset amidst digitalization.

It introduces numerous problems that online children face in their daily life, such as cyberbullying, issues of online privacy, and perfecting a virtual image. The workshop helps them overcome those problems, with practical tools and techniques that provide self-protection skills on the Internet, as well as strengthening their mental health.

This workshop would advance the basic Internet safety skills of learners that help them identify cyber threats and how one can respond to them and how to create clear lines between being online and in the real world. Lastly, the organization will address the issue of mental health and encourage students to open up when they need to be opened on. Students will be encouraged to engage in personal self-care during their everyday life.

The primary reason for this is to complement the role of the government in creating a secure and nurturing environment for children in schools, as the well-being of students holds paramount importance. Their department of school education and literacy involves equipping them with knowledge and resources so that the prevailing challenges of modern technology can be met with safety measures and prudent mental activities for a balanced digital life.
