Community Involvement Day Celebrates the Power of Community in Education during Shiksha Saptah 2024

Accordingly, the 7th day of Shiksha Saptah, 2024, of the National Education Policy 2020, shall be celebrated as Community Involvement Day. The day at the forefront shall really bring out empowering education with community involvement and due cognizance of two initiatives: Tithi Bhojan and Vidyanjali.
Tithi Bhojan, being a community-based program, brings people together for the good cause of providing a balanced diet to students, teaching healthy eating habits, and hygiene practices. Rope in the community for meal provision; Tithi Bhojan takes care of student welfare besides building collaborative and supportive communities.
Vidyanjali is a school volunteer program for the direct connectivity of volunteers with government-aided schools spread across the country. This would avail a platform to the volunteers to contribute their assets, materials, equipment, and services toward the educational requirements of students and educators through this initiative. Or, Vidyanjali is all about empowering students and educators alike with knowledge and opportunities so that more meaning may be given to community involvement in education.
Therefore, on Community Involvement Day under Shiksha Saptah 2024, much emphasis would be placed on integration between the school, volunteers, and the community towards developing a better learning environment for children. A support system for the student and the teacher would be built through engagement of the local communities by the School Management Committees and the Parent-Teacher Associations. This would therefore contribute towards all-round development in education henceforth.
This will be a feature story on how community involvement can play a stellar role in school education. In the story, Tithi Bhojan and Vidyanjali become very formidable examples of community-driven efforts toward betterment in the educational experience for students. These would be initiatives that would help realize Shiksha Saptah 2024 with regard to collaboration, innovation, and socio-emotional well-being as envisioned for the education sector by the National Education Policy, 2020.
