Compensation and Other Allowances

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the different posts is as follows:

Holder of Master’s Degree with atleast 55% marks or equivalent grade in the relevant subject from any Indian or foreign University.

Has qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR. Or Relaxation: A candidate who has been awarded a Ph.D. from a Foreign University ranked amongst the top 500 in the world is also eligible.

Those who have obtained Ph.D. under the UGC regulations are exempted from the requirement of NET.Relaxation by 5% from 55% to 50% shall be allowed for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PwBD, in all respective degree / diploma / certificate programs.The period spent on acquiring MPhil/PhD qualifications shall not be counted as teaching/research experience.

The only fact that a candidate meets the minimum qualification does not ensure an interview. The examination fee has been mandated at Rs 500 for UR/CBC/EWS and nil for SC, ST, PwBD, and women candidates. Further, the candidates who had applied for the post earlier when the interview was not there, they need not pay the fee now provided they can show proof of their earlier application.
