IP University, Delhi Police Launch Self-Defense Training for 1,200+

Self-defense training is a significant step towards women empowerment, instilling confidence and courage in women to deal with crisis situations. This was stated by Padma Shri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, Vice-Chancellor, IP University, while addressing the inaugural session of a self-defense training program organized by Delhi Police’s South-Western Range for school and college students at the university’s Dwarka campus.
The program aimed to equip around 1,200 students from nearby schools and colleges with self-defense skills and knowledge on using relevant apps. Senior Delhi Police officials were present.
Dr. Verma announced plans to extend such training to the university’s two campuses and approximately 110 affiliated colleges.
