Jamia Millia Islamia Opens Admission for Its Distance and Online Programmes; August 1-31 to be the Application Window

The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has officially started its admission process for a variety of distance and online education programmes for the academic session beginning this year. Now, interested candidates can access and fill online application forms available on the official website, jmicoe.in. The application window is live from August 1 and can be accessed till August 31.

Now, with the application submission process over, the first leg of document verification and payment of fees will start from September 17, 2021. Candidates should be keen to have all that is required from them in the first level of the admission process ready and submitted by September 29, 2021, to help them get their seat confirmed for the program.

Admission to MBA programme is based on entrance test to be held on September 15. 

The university has a variety of dual-mode programs that contain a mixture or combination of both online and distance-learning methods run by the CDOE unit. These programs are applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the university, making them offered across campus in various disciplines. Some of the programs at the postgraduate level include a Master’s in Education, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Human Resource Management (HRM), Islamic Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Urdu, and Commerce.

Bachelor of Arts, General; Bachelor of Business Administration, commonly known as BBA; Bachelor of Commerce, commonly known as BCom; and Bachelor of Commerce in International Business and Finance, commonly known as BCIBF are the four offered undergraduate programs. All these programs are especially customized and designed to meet the specific requirements of students who wish to have flexible learning arrangements.

Also on the list is an entrance exam for admission to the MBA program, which takes place on September 15. Those candidates who wish to pursue an MBA will have to prepare for it, as it lies as an important part of the admission process.

Admissions for the BEd programme will be announced later as per guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission Distance Education Bureau (UGC-DEB).

Students are requested to check the official website of the CDOE from time to time to know the details pertaining to each programme, the process of admission, and also any changes that could be brought about in the schedule.
