KVS Celebrates Unity in Diversity with Cultural Day during #ShikshaSaptah

A day for the celebration of culture was organized by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan as part of the #ShikshaSaptah initiative to express unity in diversity among the KVS people. This event focused on activities that harnessed greater cultural exchange and brought oneness in diversification while showing the rich tapestry of traditions through various parts of India.
The cultural day began with a fusion song by students dressed in attire representative of the different states of India. The pairs of states represent the idea of India as a nation in which the different cultural units come in union and interaction.
The event was part of the four-day-long mega cultural and literary event organized by KVS called “Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat Parv.” The performance concluded with a grand cultural evening and prize distribution awarded to the winners of numerous events. The event has Minister for Human Resource Development Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank inaugurated in the presence of many prominent attendees.
Culturally celebrating novelties in diversity through educational institutions such as KVS helps in making the environment inclusive, tolerant, and develops pride in one’s roots. Truly, these events offer platforms of learning for the students through others’ appreciation of other traditions and offer a better view of the world.
The performance of the fusion song was unleashed by the talent and creativity in the students as they mixed and matched musical styles and traditions in their rendition. With the colorful attire that the students had on, it made them quite a spectacle on stage and resonated with the vibrant cultural diversity that residence in India.
Participation in the cultural day during the #ShikshaSaptah reminds one that KVS is indeed a “mini India,” being a torchbearer essentially in spreading the message of unity in diversity. Woven with the tapestry of the nation’s cultural heritage, KVS imbibes the same within the students to evolve into holistic individuals for a better global.
