NCERT Showcases Digital Learning at Education Expo 2024

NCERT, an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, showcased innovative digital education initiatives at the ‘Exhibition and Conference for the Education and Skills Sector’, organized by the India Didactics Association from 18 to 20 September 2024 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.

Delegates and visitors to the NCERT stall gained a rich understanding of the high-value digital education platforms and programs envisaged by the Ministry to transform learning in India. The initiatives exhibited are PMeVIDYA, DIKSHA, SWAYAM, NISHTHA, PRASHAST, ePathshala, and eJaadui Pitara. The Bharat On the Moon portal, which has been adopted by the states for integrating technology in education, and the Rashtriya Vidya Samiksha Kendra (RVSK) have also been highlighted.

Workshops on eContent development were also convened in this regard to give educators and other relevant stakeholder hands-on experience in developing and utilizing Internet-based educational material.

The all these efforts will try to maximize accessibility and inclusiveness and quality of education all over the nation as the vision of Digital India looks. The exhibition provided for a converging point to see ways in which technology might change the paradigm that prevailed in traditional teaching methods and reach out learners in far flung places and thus creates education equity through digital innovations.
