In a major development concerning the education sector in Delhi, Education Minister Atishi recently inspected the newly built building of Vishwamitra Sarvodaya Vidyalaya in Seemapuri. This multistory and ultramodern building, with a capacity of 5,000 students, is likely to start its operations within two weeks—a defining moment for the local education scene.
A Vision for Education
She was accompanied by Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel and various other officials during her visit. Atishi emphasized that finishing touches should be completed within a very short period so that the students could be introduced at the earliest to this new school. It has 76 rooms, including smart classrooms, four advanced laboratories, a library, and an activity room with modern furniture and facilities, including a lift for children.
Atishi feels elated over the project and says, “Building such a magnificent school in the narrow lanes of the densely populated Seemapuri is no less than a miracle.” She added that this had been possible only because of the commitment of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s government toward quality education being provided to every child, irrespective of their background .
Meeting Educational Requirements
The new school would help lessen the burden of the already established schools in North-East Delhi, where overcrowding had been a major issue for so many years. It was also stated that the infrastructure of the new school is designed in such a way as to keep the pressure of more students in mind and to ensure that the educational experience for all improves. “The Kejriwal government’s new world-class schools will now become the identity of North-East Delhi,” she remarked, underscoring the broader impact this facility will have on the community:.
The school is envisioned to cater to children from Seemapuri, Dilshad Garden, Dilshad Colony, and GTB Enclave. The endeavor is to make quality education accessible to all. Atishi is clear in her mind that she wants to transform the educational landscape in Delhi to match up to international standards and take along with her the underprivileged children, bridging them at par with their more affluent counterparts.
Conclusion
With less than a week to the opening of the school, there is growing anticipation for what this new facility will mean toward a great future in education at Seemapuri. State-of-the-art facilities and quality come with an assurance to make Vishwamitra Sarvodaya Vidyalaya a standing example of the Delhi government’s commitment toward reshaping the educational experience for thousands of children in this region.
