Share

In view of the recent severe monsoon weather and subsequent water logging, leading to substantial delays in the connection of essential services to the campus building, the commencement of classes for the Master of Computing program at the University of Wollongong India is postponed to 4 November 2024 from 5 August 2024.

The decision to postpone classes was, therefore, made with consideration for the students’ safety and welfare. It was announced in an official press release that due to the unprecedented challenges posed by the continued severe weather conditions, commencement of classes had to be postponed .

Alternative Arrangements: Events to Give Students an Experience of Campus Life

To make up for the lost time over the class commencement, UOW India has lined up a series of activities aimed at giving students a feel of campus life in the run-up to November. Later this August, a campus feel, masterclasses, and a view of facilities available at UOW India will all be on offer for prospective students and their families. These will include open days, industry events, networking opportunities, and others that bring students face-to-face with the staff, professors, and industry experts. The objective is to provide an immersive experience in the innovative, dynamic environment that defines UOW India.

According to UOW India campus director Nimay Kalyani, the varsity is in talks with multiple industry leaders cutting across technology, banking, aviation, and finance sectors to bring a wide range of activities that enrich student experience and create truly valuable networking opportunities .

Academic Calendar AlignmentEND

This will also adjust the program dates for the Master of Computing so that the academic calendar aligns, in addition to helping to optimize the student experience through synchronizing the intakes for both Computing and FinTech courses in November.
