The government of Telangana, headed by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, on Monday, decided to constitute an education commission with the objective of reforming the sector that is presently plagued with several problems. The government commitment is to provide quality education and skill training up to employment from Anganwadis and primary schools to universities.This decision comes as a part of the government’s initiative to revamp the education system within the state.

Government’s Step As of now, the government has taken many steps to improve the education system of Telangana. They are:Recruitment of 11,000 teachers: The government has issued a notification for the recruitment of 11,000 teachers.Conducting teachers’ eligibility test TET: The government has decided to conduct the TET examination to verify that the practicing teachers have met the required eligibility criteria.Providing uniform and text books: The state Government has initiated steps to provide uniforms and textbooks to students on the day schools reopen.Faced with Issues in Education System From the failure to recruit teaching staff in universities during the past 10 years to the vacancy of vice chancellors and lack of facilities in Anganwadis, all problems related to the Telangana education system were brought to the notice of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in a meeting with educationists.The government is committed to rectifying all these lapses, this anomie, in the standards of education, from Anganwadi to the university level .
