Zell Education, India’s leading finance and accounts Ed-tech platform, has observed a notable shift in the professional development landscape, with 35% of working professionals enrolling in courses aimed at securing global qualifications such as ACCA, CFA, and CMA through them. This growing trend reflects the increasing awareness and value attached to these certifications, particularly among finance and fintech professionals.

Recent changes in eligibility requirements for CFA, allowing students to begin Level 1 during their second year of graduation, have contributed to this surge. Additionally, there has been an increased promotion of the CMA certification by IMA (The Institute of Management Accountants), further driving enrollments. ACCA remains the most sought-after qualification, although there has been a noticeable rise in enrollments for both CFA and CMA courses. Demographically, professionals in the age groups of 25-30 and above, primarily employed in the finance domain as analysts, represent the largest portion of enrollments. These professionals are predominantly focused on upskilling and seeking global career opportunities, with 90% of them enrolling to advance their careers.

Pratham Barot, CEO & Co-Founder of Zell Education said, “We’re seeing a significant increase in professionals recognizing the value of global qualifications, not just for upskilling but as a pathway to international career opportunities. Certifications like ACCA and CFA are no longer just add-ons. They’re becoming essential credentials for those looking to differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive global job market.”

The impact of completing these global qualifications is evident, with successful candidates seeing salary increases of 20-30%. Out of all the students enrolled in the various programs, 85% of students have successfully completed their courses, underscoring the effectiveness of these programs in enhancing professional outcomes.

This growing demand for global qualifications is particularly concentrated in finance and fintech, where professionals are increasingly leveraging these certifications to secure consulting roles and other key positions. With 65% of Zell Education’s total student base comprised of full-time students, the remaining 35% of working professionals stand out as a significant and growing segment, reflecting a clear shift toward lifelong learning and continuous professional development.
