After the exams conducted in June 2024, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has now opened its portal for the January 2025 Chartered Accountants Foundation and Intermediate exams. Aspiring candidates looking to pursue a career in accountancy may apply for these exams on the official websites- icai.org and icai.nic.in. The last date of registration with no late charges is 23rd November 2024. Application forms received after this date and up to 26th November, at the cost of late fees Rs. 600 or $10 for overseas students, would be considered by ICAI.

The ICAI exams, scheduled soon, present a golden chance for many aspiring CAs to achieve full qualification because a student clearing all three exam-stages: foundation, intermediate, and final-will be eligible for full qualification as CA. Each of the exam stages is specifically designed to give students broad knowledge about accountancy, taxation, corporate law, and many more to increase skills in that field. ICAI courses and exams are acknowledged for a strenuous process, which acts as an important passage for professionals pursuing high-ranking posts in accounting and finance.

How to Register:

The steps through which candidates can get registered themselves for taking examinations are:
Step 1 The candidate should visit the official portal of ICAI, that is, icai.org.
Step 2 Check there at the link that is specified on the site for registration of application for CA Foundation 2025 or for CA Intermediate 2025 exam.
Step 3 Login or create your login using the credentials.
Step 4 Also, you need to pay the amount of application fee.
After making the application, download and save the same for later reference.

The registration for Intermediate Course, under the new Chartered Accountants (Amendment) Regulations, 2023, is valid for a period of five years from the date of registration or conversion.

Registration for this course can be revalidated in case it has expired.

Exam Schedule

CA Exams in January 2025 by ICAI are organised to be conducted at specific dates for each level. Foundation course exams are scheduled on January 12, 14, 16, and 18, 2025. On the other hand, Intermediate course consists of two groups. Group I is scheduled to be held on January 11, 13, and 15; Group II is scheduled to be held on January 17, 19, and 21.

The exams are highly complex, and candidates are recommended to make adequate preparation well before the exams so that they can meet the high expectations that ICAI sets for them. As expected, at the intermediate level, the foundation course will be more about core skills in accountancy and business principles, but at this level, more complex accounting practices, auditing standards, and concepts of financial management are introduced.
