Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur, the new management institute associated with IIM, recently announced a new certificate programme on entrepreneurship. The course is intended to equip the budding entrepreneurs with key skills and knowledge necessary to establish and manage successful ventures. The programme will begin on 6 November 2024. This programme is open to all graduates in any discipline who have crossed the age of at least 21 years as on the date of application for the programme. Candidates are requested to apply online till 15th October through only official website, cpe.iimraipur.edu.in.

This three months long non-resident course in English and Hindi is to be conducted for recognizing the need for entrepreneurship in the local community. It is designed to bring more accessibility among the participants hailing from diverse backgrounds. Field trips, demonstrations, presentations by means of visuals have been planned as part of curriculum.

The program, according to a press note, is specifically designed for residents of Raipur with the intent of creating a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem to contribute to the growth of the area’s economy. Participants will be trained in focused training that helps to address unique challenges imposed by entrepreneurs of this region.

At the completion of the program, learners will obtain practical and actual knowledge in all disciplines of business while attaining hands-on knowledge in legal, regulatory, and compliance standards in running a business. Added on the curriculum would also be critical skills, such as techniques in presentation, design thinking, and innovative training methods.

The program is a live, practical exercise along with real world case studies to enable participants to get a good understanding of the underlying principles of business. This shall allow real-life observations that eventually derive useful insights into the intricacies of entrepreneurship.

Also, this program induces networking among the participants. This means linking the people to others, with the peers and mentors, to open them to the right networks with like-minded people and more experienced minds. This shall motivate the aspiring entrepreneurs even as they start out on their business journey.

The entrepreneurial input to the region will be realized through IIM Raipur so that the people will be appropriately prepared to face the rigors of a competitive business environment.
