The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) officially announced the date sheet of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) 2025 Examination. The much-awaited exams for students across Assam will now kick off from February 15, 2025. It marks the beginning of the academic assessment for the next batch of HSLC aspirants. The HSLC practical exams are scheduled within the schedule, and as for the practical exams, according to the official announcement, they shall be conducted over two days i.e. January 21st and 22nd in the year 2025. On these two days, those practical exams will be of computer science, commerce, home science, weaving, textile design, IT/ ITeS, music and dance, etc.

• On January 21, 2025:
• Morning session: Computer Science, Commerce, and Home Science
• Afternoon session: Weaving and Textile Design, IT/ITeS NSQF, Fine Art
• January 22, 2025:
• Morning session: Music, Dance, Wood Craft, Garment Designing, Yoga, and Physical Education
• Afternoon session: Retail Trade, Private Security, Healthcare, and other vocational subjects

The HSLC 2025 batch theory exams will start on February 15, 2025, with the English exam during the morning session. The detailed schedule of the exams will be conducted for a few weeks and end in March 2025.

HSLC 2025 Theory Exam Schedule:

• February 15, 2025: English (Morning session)
• February 17, 2025: MIL/English (Afternoon session)
• February 21, 2025: General Mathematics (Morning session)
• February 22, 2025: Vocational Subjects comprising Retail Trade, IT/ITeS, Health Care (Morning session); Music, Dance, and Arts (Afternoon session)
• February 24, 2025: General Science (Morning session)
• February 25, 2025: Fine Art (Morning session) and Weaving/Textile Design (Afternoon session)
• February 27, 2025: Social Science (Morning session)
• February 28, 2025: Regional Languages such as Manipuri (Morning session) and Assamese (Afternoon session)
• March 1, 2025: Santali (Morning session)
• March 3, 2025: Geography, Advanced Mathematics, Computer Science, and other subjects (Morning session)

The examination will comprise a fixed timetable with extra 5 minutes for each student to arrive and settle before entering the examination hall. Morning shift is between 8:55 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. whereas afternoon shift falls between 1:25 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. The time allowance will allow enough time to enable the students to gain ample space for settling and being able to begin on time when the examination session commences.

For elective languages, common question papers will be distributed to the students, split into Group A and Group B. Question papers will differ according to the language opted for and will be 3 hours in duration for electives and 2 hours in duration for in-lieu languages.

The SEBA clearly states that any updates with respect to the exam dates would be given on the official website. Changes or clarifications, in that regard, would also be reflected there. Therefore, it is advised to the students to go through the complete examination schedule and become aware of the time slots allotted, venues, and other details.
