In a recent update, the Ministry of Women and Child Development (WCD) has announced an extension of the last date for submitting applications for the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP). The new deadline has been moved from 31st July, 2023 to 31st August, 2023, giving more time for interested individuals to participate in this national recognition program.
The ministry has informed the general public that applications for the PMRBP, which celebrates exceptional achievements and contributions of children, have commenced on the National Awards Portal (https://awards.gov.in). The awards cover various categories, including Bravery, Sports, Social Service, Science & Technology, Environment, Arts & Culture, and Innovation, and aim to acknowledge outstanding accomplishments at the national level.
Children who are Indian citizens and residing in India, and are not older than 18 years as of the final date of application submission, are eligible to apply for the PMRBP. Additionally, individuals other than the child themselves can also nominate deserving candidates for the award. The process for submitting applications and nominations is exclusively online through the designated portal (https://awards.gov.in), which has been specifically developed for this purpose.
This extension of the last date provides a valuable opportunity for individuals to showcase the exceptional talents, bravery, social contributions, scientific achievements, environmental initiatives, artistic abilities, and innovative projects of deserving children. The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar continues to be a platform for recognizing and encouraging the outstanding potential and achievements of young Indian citizens who have made a significant impact in various fields.
