Tamil Nadu Extends School Holidays; Reopening on Oct 7

Tamil Nadu School Education Department today declared extending all school holidays in the state from today itself after the completion of quarterly exams. Students will return to schools on October 7, 2024, instead of the scheduled opening date on October 3.
The decision announcement was passed through the official social media handle of the Tamil Nadu School Education Department. It referred to an, “Extension of quarterly leave for schools in Tamil Nadu has been extended till October 6. School Education Department has announced that schools will reopen on October 7 after the holidays”.
The break will actually give students a couple of extra days before the commencement of the new semester, ensuring they can recharge and rearm for all the challenges that lie in wait for them during the new semester. Parents and students alike welcomed the news, appreciating the chance for some extra rest after the rigors of the examination period.
As the schools get set to reopen, teachers need to have prepared some activities and lessons that will help a smooth transition for the children back to the classrooms.
