Vice-President Dhankhar Engages with Students in Daman Visit

Hon’ble Vice-President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, today in his soulful and inspiring visit, paid his respects at PM Shri Chandra Shekhar Azad Upper Primary School, Ringanwada, Daman. The Vice-President in his visit interacted with students to inspire young minds and ponder over the significance of education for a progressive and empowered nation.

In the interaction, Shri Dhankhar shared valuable life lessons to the students, encouraging them to study seriously, work hard, and think big. At the same time, he kept reaffirming how education molds not only individuals but the entire society. The vice president began speaking on the significance of education as the bedrock of our nation’s future and said, “It is through your dedication and hard work that India will continue to rise and shine on the global stage. You, the young generation, are the architects of tomorrow.”.

Applauding the efforts of school staff and the larger educational structure under the PM SHRI (PM Schools for Rising India) scheme, which is aimed at fortifying education infrastructure and elevating learning standards across the country, the Vice-President said such initiatives would help channel the country’s students’ latent energy into something wholesome, therefore guaranteeing equal opportunities to everyone.

Shri Dhankhar took out time to hear the aspirations of students and was totally enthusiastic in answering the queries raised by the students and giving as many anecdotes about his life experiences. A lot of the students got inspired by the words from the Vice-President, especially about the message for never giving up and being positive against any obstacle. “Challenges are part of life; however, with the right education and thoughts you can transform challenges into opportunities,” he said to the young learners.

Interaction with the Vice-President did not stop only with words of encouragement. He also commended the school for its efforts in applying modern teaching methods and the integration of digital learning tools embracing this New World Education. “The world is changing so fast today, and education must change to fit it in order to equip the students with know-how to succeed in the 21st century,” he remarked.

During the visit, he was also able to view the infrastructure and assess the importance that various initiatives by the government within the school education sector have worked towards in the region. The Vice-President assured continued support by the government in the improvement of the quality of education and school infrastructure within India, but especially within the most remote and underdeveloped regions like Daman.

The whole event filled with activities of welcome cultural performances and warm reception by both the students and the staff took place. Teachers and school authorities thanked the Vice-President for his visit, saying it would inspire the students forever.

Shri Dhankhar concluded the visit by assuring support for the nation’s youth and that every child, regardless of their origin, must be provided with good quality education. “The future of India indeed lies in its children. And with education as your foundation, there is really no limit as to what you can achieve,” he said.

This discussion is a part of the Vice-President’s overall interaction with educational institutions across India as a means of fostering a closer connection between policymakers and young citizens, and reiterating values in education leading to a bright and prosperous future for India.
