Embassy, Karnataka to Revamp 40 Govt Schools

New Delhi, July 9, 2025: In order to advance the overall development of government schools all across Bengaluru, the Embassy Group has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Education, Government of Karnataka. The partnership, which will run from May 2025 to April 2028, aims to enhance facilities, academic standards, and student welfare in forty public schools with a projected ₹15 crore investment. This project develops on a fruitful partnership first created in 2018. Under the new partnership, embassy will keep its dedication to enhancing public education by offering a range of integrated programs focusing on academics, health, infrastructure, and community involvement. Emphasizing core skills, life skills, and student well-being, the whole initiative seeks to transform public schools into lively, friendly learning spaces. Yearly starter kits with educational materials, subject-specific math, English, Kannada, and sports interventions, and after-school academic aid for students who need more assistance are among the academic initiatives to be adopted. Moreover, to assist government school students broaden their horizons, the partnership will provide educational trips, industry exposure visits, career counseling and mentoring, and scholarships for further education. Furthermore, the initiative will assist teachers by covering more guest and full-time instructors, hence reducing student-to-teacher ratios and resolving personnel deficits. Moreover, all forty schools will see big infrastructural upgrades at once. Apart from regular school maintenance, the embassy will help with required school repairs, renovations, and new construction. This includes access to safe drinking water, better sanitation facilities, modifications to the classroom environment, basic requirements for a safe and encouraging learning environment. Health and hygiene will be joined by preventive health programs designed to improve personal well-being and academic performance as a major component of the curriculum. With the objectives of reducing absenteeism and creating a cleaner school environment, the program will emphasize offering clean facilities, performing regular health checks, and increasing hygiene awareness. Since 2012, the Embassy Group has been actively helping governmental schools grow via sustainable infrastructure projects. Over time, twenty-one new government schools have been erected; three more are now under construction. To promote clean energy, solar panels have been installed in 15 public schools and 23 schools have safe drinking water units. This consistent engagement has improved the learning environments for thousands of students in Karnataka. “We are happy to prolong our cooperation with the Embassy Group for another three years to support a holistic program that combines fundamental learning with life skills, and preventative healthcare—including regular school maintenance—across Government schools in Karnataka,”said Dr. K V Trilok Chandra, IAS, Commissioner of Public Instruction, Department of School Education, Government of Karnataka,during the MoU renewal. This collaboration shows how continuous, long-term community support might be beneficial by means of sustainable educational development. More companies will be encouraged to join a collective effort that supports Karnataka’s Model Schools and guarantees no kid is left behind by means of this. Pupils in 40 selected government schools situated across the education blocks of North 03, North 04, South 04, Devanahalli, Vijayapura Rural, Hadagali-Bellary, Hagaribommanahalli, and Bellary would benefit from the program. GHS Cox Town, GKHPS Pottery Town, KPS Hebbala, GHS Rajanukunte, and GGHS Devanahalli are among the participating colleges. Through a mix of academic support, teacher empowerment, infrastructural improvements, and health programs, the Embassy-Karnataka government partnership aims to create model schools that offer every student a thorough and fair educational experience. Employing a long-term, flexible approach and close collaboration between the public and private sectors, the project seeks to create a national model for corporate participation in the development of public education in India.
