Haryana’s Super-100: IIT, JEE, NEET Coaching For Meritorious Govt Students

Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya stated that the objective of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is to promote quality, employment-oriented, and research-based education in the state. Haryana has implemented this policy in all universities and affiliated colleges starting from the academic session 2024-25.
Addressing the Haryana Assembly on the first day of the budget session in Chandigarh today, the Governor announced that tuition fees for female students in all government and government-aided colleges are being waived at the undergraduate level. Additionally, tuition fees are being waived for postgraduate students from families with an annual income of less than ₹1.80 lakh.
He further stated that the PM Vidya Lakshmi Scheme is being implemented to provide financial assistance to meritorious students. Under this scheme, students who gain admission to top higher education institutions receive full tuition fee coverage and additional course-related expenses through collateral-free and guarantee-free bank loans.
Under the PM Shri Schools Scheme, a total of 250 PM Shri Schools have been opened in Haryana. Additionally, from this year, Scheduled Caste students who score 90% or more in Class 12 are being awarded a cash incentive of ₹1.11 lakh per student. So far, 704 students have received a total of ₹7.81 crore in cash incentives.
Similarly, under the ‘Super-100’ Program, launched in 2018, meritorious government school students receive special coaching for IIT, JEE, NEET, and other competitive exams. So far, 190 students have qualified for IIT Advanced, while 333 students have cleared NEET under this program.
