In a significant move toward inclusive and holistic education, The Himalayan School has announced its partnership with the International Schools Sports Organisation (ISSO) a nationally recognized body affiliated with the School Games Federation of India (SGFI). This collaboration positions The Himalayan School as only the second online school in Indi a to join ISSO’s extensive tournament network, which promotes competitive sports across more than 20 disciplines among international curriculum schools (Cambridge, Indian, IB, etc.).

The partnership enables students of The Himalayan School from Grade 1 to Grade 12, studying under Cambridge and Indian curriculum, to participate in national and international sports tournaments through ISSO bridging the gap between virtual learning and physical development.

India’s rising success in global sports highlighted by 10 medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics and 107 medals at the 2023 Asian Games underscores the growing emphasis on school-level sports. The Himalayan School is committed to this sporting momentum by ensuring online and hybrid learners receive equal opportunities to compete and grow through physical activity.

Offering flexible online learning aligned with both Cambridge and CBSE curricula, The Himalayan School will now integrate a comprehensive sports awareness module, which includes theoretical knowledge of sports, fitness education, wellness sessions, and preparatory guidance for tournaments, aligned with ISSO’s framework.
