IPU Hosts Global FDP on Blended Learning

New Delhi, September 15 – Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University( GGSIPU) has taken a major step towards reshaping advanced education with the launch of a five- day International Faculty Development Programme( FDP) on “ EmpoweringAdvanced Education Institutions in Technology- enabled and Blended Learning. ” Organized by the University School of Education( USE) in collaboration with the Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia( COL- CEMCA), the programme began on September 15 and will run until September 19, drawing wide participation and global attention. 

With around 750 registered actors from different corridor of the world, the programme reflects a fleetly growing transnational interest in the integration of digital tools and amalgamated methodologies into academic systems. The different participation underlines the recognition that the future of advanced education lies in combining traditional values of tutoring with ultramodern technological inventions to meet the demands of a fast- changing world. 

The induction of the programme was marked by study- provoking addresses from prestigious education leaders and experts. Delivering the presidential address, Prof.( Dr.) Mahesh Verma,Vice-Chancellor of GGSIP University, set the tone for the event by emphasizing the transformative part of technology in education. He spoke about the criticalneed for universities to borrow amalgamated literacy models that insure inflexibility, inclusivity, and equityin access to education. Prof. Verma asserted that unborn-ready universities must not only calculate on technology but also integrate mortal values to nurture holistic literacy. In his words, blending slice- edge technology with moral and ethical principles is the only way to give indifferent, quality- driven education for all learners, anyhow of their circumstances. 

Saroj Sharma, Dean of the University School of Education and Director of the FDP, extended a warmhello to the actors and underscored the significance of this transnational action. She stressed that the FDP is further than just a training programme — it is a platform to partake global stylish practices, foster academic collaboration, and make faculty capabilities necessary for the digital period.
