Anna University, Chennai, has declared a change in the admit card release date for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) and the Common Engineering Entrance Test & Admissions (CEETA-PG) for the year 2025. Registrants of these exams can now obtain their hall tickets from March 7, 2025, a day before the earlier announced date of March 8. The admit cards can be downloaded from the official website, tancet.annauniv.edu.

TANCET and CEETA PG are pivotal entrance examinations for postgraduate program aspirants to gain admission to ME, MTech, MArch, and MPlanning in Tamil Nadu institutions. These exams act as gateways for students who dream of obtaining higher education in engineering, technology, and architecture. Final year or semester candidates from the qualifying degree course of their current academic year 2024-25 are also eligible to apply for these entrance tests.

The examination for TANCET 2025 is on March 22, 2025, and CEETA PG 2025 will be held on March 23, 2025. The MCA examination for students will be held in the morning session between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, and the MBA examination will be held in the afternoon session between 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM. Conversely, the CEETA PG exam will be conducted in one shift from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Both exams will be offline mode, and candidates will have to answer multiple-choice questions. The TANCET MBA exam will have five sections: Business Situations, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Data Sufficiency, and English Usage. Each section will have 20 questions, and thus it will be a total of 100 questions. The test will be held in English, and one mark will be awarded for every correct response. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer, so candidates must be careful while attempting the questions.

For candidates who are appearing for these entrance tests, downloading the admit card is an important step, as it is a compulsory document for entering the examination hall. The admit card will have vital information like the candidate’s name, registration number, exam center details, and timings of the exam. To get the hall ticket downloaded, the candidates must log in to the official website, tancet.annauniv.edu, using their registered email address and password. When the candidates log in, the admit card will be shown on the screen, and the candidates are required to download and print several copies for future use.

Since the date of examination is near, it is requested that the aspirants prepare properly for the examination and get conversant with the exam pattern. Revision of core topics, previous year question paper practice, and time management must be done in order to obtain higher scores. It is also important to observe any additional changes announced by Anna University for the process of examinations.

The TANCET and CEETA PG exams hold immense importance in determining the academic and professional life of thousands of students in Tamil Nadu. With the change in the admit card release date, candidates now have an additional day to download their hall tickets and verify all details. They should also check twice their exam center location beforehand so that there is no confusion at the last moment.

As the exams approach, the candidates should make sure they bring their admit card, ID proof, and necessary stationery materials with them on the day of the exam. It is also recommended that the candidates arrive at the exam center much before the reporting time to avoid any last-minute rush. Adhering to all the exam instructions and staying focused during the test will enable the candidates to perform at their best.

With Anna University simplifying the process and arranging for necessary requirements, the candidates may now expect a hassle-free examination process. The modification in the date of release of the admit card offers an additional benefit for the candidates to make their hall tickets available in advance and be better equipped for the forthcoming exams.
