IISER Tirupati has taken a unique initiative by starting one-year master’s programs in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and Biological Data Science. The move is towards fulfilling the nagging demand made by industries for more professionals trained in data science and AI areas and further train candidates in areas of accomplishment.

The one-year Master’s programs at IISER Tirupati amalgamate rigorous and cross-disciplinary course structures that provide theoretical underpinning and practical applications in data science and AI. This will be coupled with skill development courses designed to fine-tune skills in the analysis and interpretation of complex data sets and developing machine learning algorithms that apply AI techniques toward the solution of problems in the real world. The courses ease into more industry-based projects and hands-on training sessions so that students will then, on the first day, be relevant and ready to start contributing towards the industry.

It is in view of these facts that IISER-Tirupati has designed the curriculum to build strong basics but offer advanced courses along with specialised tracks so that the programmes would meet requirements of freshers and middle career professionals. Flexibility in the programmes shall allow the student to orient learning in accordance with his interest and career goals.

The online application process for all these master’s programs started on 11 July and will end on 31 July. The interested candidate can make an application through the official website iiser tirupati.ac.in of IISER Tirupati. Only those candidates who are eligible for admission into all the courses have to pay Rs 1,000 as the application fee.

In order to include participants from industry, courses for these Master’s programs will be taught in a hybrid mode that includes in-person and online instruction. This approach is intended to provide flexibility and convenience to the students while ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
