According to the District Education Officer, Shiv Pal, such initiatives help ensure a learning process without stress but with creativity while supporting holistic development.With these wonderful Saturdays arriving with the sun, activities’ wider effect is elaborated upon by Fazilka Deputy Commissioner Senu Duggal. While the children enjoy their ‘Bag-Free Days,’ teamworking skills, communication, and outstanding etiquette are being inculcated into them. By making them study amidst fun and activity, she feels that the mental and physical health of these young minds will automatically yet definitely reach new heights and eventually translate into a healthy and evolved citizen of tomorrow.With 468 primary schools and about 72,000 students, the Fazilka district comes as one entity to adapt a curriculum-driven that: will go beyond bookish knowledge. In a mass gesture, the district administration is introducing ‘Bag-Free Days’ to inform the globe that the well-being of its students, together with their innate creativity, is going to be the guiding principle in their scholastic journey.
