British Council Opens Applications for Study UK Alumni Awards 2025

The British Council issued an application call for the 11th edition of the prestigious Study UK Alumni Awards in a manner that strives to bring out these UK-educated professional heads who have gone a step further in changing their industries, communities, and countries through the significance they have made. Prospective applicants interested in this opportunity will get an application deadline on 21st October 2024. The Study UK Alumni Awards recognize outstanding achievements made by alumni who utilized their UK education in making a difference in several sectors. The awards have four unique categories that represent excellence in separate fields: Science and Sustainability, Culture and Creativity, Social Action, and Business and Innovation. Contenders from this award stand on two levels that include global and national stages, respective to the level of eligibility of the applicants.
Global winners will enjoy enhanced international publicity, opportunities to expand their professional networks, and the prospect of joining a professional networking visit to the UK. India will hold national level ceremony awarding the shortlisted alumni while celebrating outstanding alumni across the country.
The winners and finalists for the India awards will be announced in March 2025, while the global winners will be announced in July 2025. The global winners will then be celebrated through an online digital campaign: Their amazing stories and achievements will be shared all over the globe.
In 2024, the competition attracted over 1,500 applications from UK alumni resident in nearly 100 countries and representing over 130 higher education institutions across the UK. The awards continue to attract the most diverse pool of talent, recognising individuals who have leveraged their UK education to create meaningful change across the globe.
