IIT-BHU Secures 881 Offers; Highest CTC at ₹1.65 Crore

The Indian Institute of Technology-Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU) has begun its 2024-25 placement season with remarkable success. By December 5, the prestigious institution had secured 881 offers from 257 participating companies, with the highest salary package reaching an impressive ₹1.65 crore per annum and an average CTC ranging up to ₹30 lakh per annum. The placement drive has highlighted the institute’s niche in churning out high-quality talent, attracting the best recruiters from various sectors. 

Internship Success for Pre-Final Year Students

Students from IIT-BHU have secured a total of 399 internships from 87 large firms. Some of the multinational firms that visited include Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, Nvidia, and Adobe, pointing towards the demand of the students in the corporate world.

PPOs and Final Placement Highlights

In the final placement drive, 262 pre-placement offers (PPOs) were extended by 71 companies. Major contributors included Oracle, Intuit, Fidelity, AQR Capital, Microsoft, and Uber, among others. The Day 1 slot saw a staggering 170 offers from 89 companies such as Flipkart, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and Alphonso AI.

Day 2 was able to record 216 offers from 50 recruiters; it included big names such as Cognizant, Paytm, Walmart, and Uber. Among them, there were 103 offers from the 22 companies that had registered for the recruitment round – Delta Exchange, SRIN, Tiger Analytics, Axtria, Grey Orange, and Axxela. Other participating companies also presented a range of other opportunities available. Diverse recruiters from various sectors were notable as well, including Oyo Rooms, Tata Steel, FPL, and Reliance New Energies.

Tech and Innovation Lead On Day 3 of the placement drive, once more, tech and innovative house participation was high. All 86 offers made in total by 15 recruiters comprised those from Infosys, Chella, Searce, Sonalika, Maven Magnet, and WCB Robotics among others. The presence of houses that included Maruti MTech as well as Fluence Energy and Attentions Data Labs indicated the need for next gen technological skills.

By Day 4, the number of offers further increased with an additional 44 offers from 10 companies, including Scarce, Nucleus, SRF, Reliance, Mphasis, SLA Tech, and Hitachi. This ended an extremely successful placement season, marking IIT-BHU as the top engineering and innovation hub. 

Diverse Opportunities Across Sectors

One of the main attractions of this placement season was the diversity of the roles and industries. From Cashfree to Barco Electronics, Nucleus Software, to SignalChip, it marked a range of career options open for IIT-BHU students. The sectors that were represented came in the form of e-commerce, financial technology, data analytics, and energy solutions with recruiters, thereby providing an energetic and diverse pool of opportunities.

With participation from the leading global and Indian firms, the placement drive by IIT-BHU manifests as an epitome of confidence in the institution’s graduating batch. The sheer number of offers-the large number of offers on initial days of placement- speaks about the high level of preparation and capability of the students themselves. 

Success of this year’s placement drive is a testimony to the commitment of IIT-BHU towards excellence in academics and industry readiness. The institute’s emphasis on innovation and a sound foundation for education continues to attract top-tier recruiters, hence giving bright futures to its students.

The placement season has just begun and IIT-BHU is leaving an unshakeable mark for other institutions in line with its legacy as India’s premier institute for technical education.
