Gariband district is trying to change the face of education through the “Gaurav Gariband” campaign, initiated by District Collector Deepak Agrawal. The exercise focuses on improving the academic output of students at class levels 5th to 12th. The board-pattern exams the quarterly assessments will face this year are being mooted by the district administration under Collector Agrawal and District Education Officer AK Saraswat. The cluster coordinators of Vikas Khand Fingeshwar were met at Government Uma School Senda to plan for the exam.

Along with improving the standards of the exams, the district nodal officers also emphasized that all necessary documents like income certificates, caste certificates, residence certificates, etc. be prepared in their names so that no student misses the scholarship and other benefits. It was also mandatory that a student from class 9th to 12th is registered for Aadhaar Card. It has also been advised that parents link their Aadhaar cards with student records so that names match UDISE details.

As part of the campaign, the district officers conducted inspections in schools at Sendra, Belar, and Chhuhiya blocks to check on the preparation for annual examinations. On this occasion, teachers were also given awareness on how to develop the handwriting skills of students. BEO Ramendra Joshi, Vikas Khand Sroot Coordinator Subhash Sharma, Programmer Nadim, Manish Devangan, Chetan Gayakwad, and block cluster coordinators accompanied the officials.
