AIIMS Delhi Opens Recruitment For 2300 CRE Vacancies

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, has launched a massive recruitment exercise under its Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) 2025, releasing 2,300 vacancies for different Group B and C non-faculty posts. The recruitment is an integral part of the ongoing efforts of AIIMS Delhi to increase its strength of workers and reorganize operations department-wise. The application window for the vacancies is now open, and interested and suitable candidates are invited to apply through the official portal, aiimsexams.ac.in, within the deadline.

The recruitment is of a diverse variety of jobs, ranging from Technician, Assistant, Clerk, Lab Attendant, Data Entry Operator, Assistant Engineer, Lineman, Draftsman Grade‑2, Pharmacist, to name but a few. The diversity of posts is so extensive that candidates from different academic streams can apply and work towards India’s most elite medical institute. The written test shall be held on 25th and 26th August 2025. The window of application is already open and the candidates interested are requested not to be late to avoid technical hold-up or traffic in the website.

Eligibility criteria depend on the post category. Candidates who are applying for Technical, Laboratory Attendant or Clerk posts must have passed at least Class X or XII. For Lineman and Draftsman Grade-2 positions, a diploma in the respective subject along with appropriate experience is required. A degree in engineering in the relevant branch is required for applicants for the Assistant Engineer position. For the candidates wishing to join the posts of Pharmacist or Data Entry Operator, graduates, postgraduates, or degree holders such as MSc or MBA are required, as per the respective job profile.

Age of applicants varies from 18 to 35 years. According to the government rules, the applicants of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are provided age relaxation of 5 years, while the applicants belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) are provided age relaxation of 3 years. The applicants with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are provided relaxation up to 10 years of age.

The selection is based on a written test and skill test wherever necessary. The written test will evaluate the candidates on General Knowledge and Aptitude, and Computer Knowledge. The pattern is 100 questions for 400 marks, and the time is 90 minutes. This pattern has been retained in mind to provide a balanced perception of mental as well as technical skills required for their respective jobs by the candidates.

Skill test should be used strictly on a very few vacancies where functional knowledge and day-to-day working competence have to be tested along with theoretical skills. The introduction of a skill test identifies the candidates who are not only academically eligible but also have enough hands-on experience coupled with skills.

To submit the application, the candidates will have to visit the official portal of AIIMS exams. After reaching the homepage, they will need to click on the “Recruitment” option and then on the “Common Recruitment Examination (CRE)” notification. After registering on the portal, the applicants will have to fill the online form correctly, upload documents if required, and pay the demanded application fee.

Application fee for candidates under General and OBC categories is Rs 3,000. The fee for SC, ST, and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates is Rs 2,400. Candidates, after they fill the application form and submit with payment, are requested to save and print the confirmation for future purposes.
