IPU Launches India’s First LLM-Powered Courses

New Delhi, September 2 In a corner development for Indian advanced education, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University( GGSIPU) has come the country’s first university to borrow a Large Language Model( LLM)- powered class across all its programs. The action marks a bold step toward transubstantiating education into a more interactive, substantiated, and lifelong process by integrating artificial intelligence into every discipline.

The advertisement was made in New Delhi in the presence of Prof. T. G. Sitharam, Chairman of the All India Council for Technical Education( AICTE), who was the principal guest at the form. Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor of the University, Padma Shri Prof.( Dr.) Mahesh Verma, described the launchas a major vault forward. He explained that at IP University, LLM would not just mean “ Large Language Model ” but also “ Lifelong literacy Model, ” reflecting the vision of creating a system of education that remains alive, conversational, and accessible to every learner anytime, anywhere.

Verma emphasized that this shift would review the classroom experience, turning it from a static space into an ever- evolving dialogue. He refocused out that the action aligns with the university’s charge to homogenize knowledge by making it interactive and available beyond the walls of the lot. He underlined that inclusivity in education means giving every pupil— irrespective of background or capability — equal occasion to engage with knowledge and develop practical , creative, and critical chops.

Sitharam lauded the university’s bold step, calling it a corner achievement in Indian advanced education. He stressed that integrating Small Language Models( SLMs) alongside LLMs would profit every academic-sluice, from engineering to humanities. He added that artificial intelligence is no longer a futuristic conception but the foundation of ultramodern literacy. By espousing AI- powered models, universities like IPU would prepare scholars not simply for jobs but for places as generators, originators, and leaders in a knowledge- driven world. He complimented Prof. Verma and his platoon for leading what he describedas the future of lifelong, inclusive, and dynamiceducation.

The first course under this model will be International Finance, designed by Prof. Gagan Sharma. The course will soon be replicated across all programs of the university. Illustrating the functionality, Prof. Verma offered a regard of the new system a first- time pupil can ask her phone for the syllabus of International Finance Management and admit the complete structure incontinently. The same system could also respond to a follow- up question similar as, “ Explain cost of capital in 300 words, like I’m a 14- time-old, ” delivering a simple and precise answer acclimatised to the learner’s requirements.

Sharma explained that the system was designed to enhance, not replace, traditional tutoring. scholars will be suitable to frame questions in short, long, or conversational formats and admit environment-rich, accurate responses. This 24/7 support, he noted, would round classroom literacy by icing that scholars completely understand generalities and can apply them effectively.

The relinquishment of an LLM- enabled class signals a paradigm shift in the way education is imaginedand delivered. With this metamorphosis, knowledge will no longer remain set to handbooks or lecture halls. rather, it becomes a living companion, available on a smartphone, in a library, or indeed during a metro lift. Just as calculators formerlyreplaced tedious computation, LLMs are set to replace rote literacy with logic, stationary notes with dialogue, and unresistant classrooms with dynamic, evolving exchanges.

By moving all its courses to a 100 percent LLM- grounded system, IP University has deposited itself as a colonist of India’s AI- powered education revolution . The institution now stands at the van of reimagining literacy as an experience that’s measureless, creative, and deeply particular. This bold action not only sets a precedent for other universities but also places India forcefully on the global chart of technology- enabled advanced education.

For scholars and preceptors likewise, this development signifies the dawn of a new period where artificial intelligence is n’t simply a tool but a mate in the lifelong trip of literacy.
