Leaders Honour Jayaprakash Narayan’s Legacy In Delhi

A grand form was organized on October 11, 2025, at the theater of the International Cooperation Council, Deendayal Upadhyay Marg, New Delhi, to commemorate the 123rd birth anniversary of India’s great freedom fighter and the mastermind of the Total Revolution, Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan. The event was held under the common aegis of the Loknayak Jayaprakash International Study and Development Centre and Sampoorna Kranti Abhiyan. 

The program began with the lighting of the conventional beacon and flowery paeans to the portrayal of Jayaprakash Narayan, setting a solemn and regardful tone. The event drew the participation of several prestigious personalities from colorful fields — journalism, social work, law, politics, trades, and church who came together to recognize the heritage of a leader who inspired generations through his commitment to republic, verity, and social justice. 

Among the dignitaries present were Acharya Yeshi Phunstok from Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch; Mr. Gyanendra Rawat, a well- known intelligencer, author, and environmentalist; Mr. Shyam Gambhir, socialist thinker and National General Secretary of Socialist Party India; Mr. Sudhanshu Ranjan, elderly intelligencer and former Deputy Director General of Doordarshan; and Mr. Mahendra Kumar Gupta, a prominent Supreme Court advocate. Others who attended included Mr. Balmiki Prasad Singh, President of All India Panchayat Parishad; Mr. Sanjay Singh Khutail, Delhi in- charge of Hum Party; Mr. Purushottam, noted Delhi- grounded minstrel; Mr. Shashi Kumar Tyagi, former CISF commander; Mahant Shri Ashok Nath, deified saint; Mr. Mahesh Saxena, Mr. Vinay Kumar Khare, Mr. Arun Kumar Singh, Mr. Abhinav Chaturvedi, film and television artist; Mr. Narayan Kumar, Director of International Cooperation Council; Mr. Rakesh Jain, National General Secretary of Sampoorna Kranti National Forum; Dr. Rakesh Rafiq, activist of the JP Movement; Dr. Meenakshi Sakhi; Mr. Vipin Kumar Gupta, Editor of National Express review; Mahant Bhai Tiwari, social worker; Mr. Subhash Ji, Lok Janshakti Party leader; Mr. Rajesh Kumar Sinha; Mr. Hiralal Pradhan, President of All India Human Society Trust; Mr. Mohammad Shabeeb, and Dr. Manish Kumar from Police Public. 

The event was conducted by Mr. Abhay Sinha, Author and National General Secretary of the Loknayak Jayaprakash International Study and Development Centre. In his address, Sinha reflected on the life and vision of Jayaprakash Narayan, pressing his inexhaustible struggle for social and political reform, his call for “ Sampoorna Kranti ”( Total Revolution), and his belief in people’s power to bring about change through popular means. He described Jayaprakash Narayan as a leader whose integrity and courage continue to inspire India’s youth and political thinkers. 

Addressing the gathering, socialist leader Shyam Gambhir said that Jayaprakash Narayan had given a new direction to the country at a pivotal time in its history. “ He stood up for verity, justice, and equivalency, inspiring the millions to believe in moral politics and participatory republic, ” Gambhir said. 

Environmental intelligencer Gyanendra Rawat emphasized the continued applicability of Jayaprakash Narayan’s ideals, stating, “ India moment needs leadership like Jayaprakash Narayan — selfless, valorous, and committed to the weal of the people. His communication of ethical governance and social justice is as vital now as it was decades agone. ” 

Several other speakers also paid homage to Jayaprakash Narayan, recalling his significant part in the Indian freedom movement and latterly in marshaling citizens during the 1970s against corruption and despotism. They described him as a rare leader who combined intellectual depth with moral strength, and whose advocacy for decentralization, translucency, and people’s participation in governance still serves as a guiding principle for contemporary India. 

The event not only celebrated the memory of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan but also served as a memorial of his enduring influence on Indian republic. Speakers reiterated the significance of carrying forward his vision of an indifferent and participatory society, where political and social reforms are driven by ethical values and public weal. 

As the form concluded, attendees expressed their collaborative commitment to uphold the ideals that Jayaprakash Narayan stood for — integrity in leadership, commission of the common man, and the pursuit of justice throughnon-violence and verity. The occasion, graced by multitudinous distinguished citizens of Delhi, ended on a note of reflection and alleviation, reaffirming that the heritage of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan remains deeply embedded in the nation’s heart.
