Share

The University of Delhi has announced the third round of admissions for its Undergraduate Programmes under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for the academic year 2025-26. With Round 3 now active, the university has released the full schedule and important guidelines for candidates participating in this phase. This announcement brings both relief and urgency to many aspiring students, especially those waiting for an upgrade or entering the admission process for the first time.

According to the official notification, the online applications for Round 3 will be verified and approved by the respective colleges until August 6, 2025. Candidates who are allotted seats must pay their fees online by August 7 at 4:59 pm. If they fail to do this, their allocation may be cancelled. After that, the vacant seat matrix will be published on August 8, 2025, at 5 pm. This information will help candidates who want to upgrade their current seat or enter the system through the mid-entry option.

The university has also set up a Mid-Entry provision for those who missed applying in Phase I or could not finish Phase II of the CSAS (UG)-2025 process. Candidates who want to use this option can do so from 5 pm on Friday, August 8, 2025, until 4:59 pm on Sunday, August 10, 2025. A non-refundable Mid-Entry fee of ₹1000 must be paid to be considered for the third round of allocations.

Mid-Entry is also available to candidates who were rejected in earlier rounds due to incorrect subject mapping, not meeting program-specific eligibility, or invalid documents. These candidates can now correct their subject mapping and update their college-program preferences. Additionally, applicants who have not yet received any seat allocation by Round 2 can edit their preferences during this window. It is strongly advised that such candidates carefully review the vacant seat matrix before submitting their revised preferences. All changes must be saved and submitted before the August 10 deadline.

In a significant move to improve the admission process, the university has opened the Upgrade Window for candidates already admitted in Round I or Round II. Through this option, candidates can choose to upgrade based on their higher preferences submitted earlier. They can also reorder the Programme and College combinations listed above their currently allotted seat. If a candidate receives an upgraded seat, the new allocation will be processed directly at the college level. In this case, the candidate must pay any additional fees that may arise from the change in seat allocation.

For performance-based programs such as Music, BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts), and PE, HE&S (Physical Education, Health Education & Sports), the first round of allocations will be announced on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 5 pm. This date will also announce the Ward Quota results under the CW (Children/Widows of Armed Forces Personnel) category.

Candidates selected under the ECA (Extra Curricular Activities) and Sports quota must accept their seat offers by 5 pm on Friday, August 15, 2025. Colleges will begin verifying and approving these applications from 5 pm on August 13 and continue until August 18, 2025, at 4:59 pm. The deadline for these candidates to pay their fees is August 19, 2025, at 4:59 pm. Not completing any of these steps may lead to cancellation of their seat.

With this third round, the University of Delhi aims to improve transparency, accessibility, and inclusivity in the CSAS system. Candidates are advised to stay updated through the official portal, review the vacant seat matrix, and make informed choices. This round provides another chance for those who missed earlier phases and for those hoping to secure their desired college or course through upgrades. As the academic season progresses, the university emphasizes the importance of meeting deadlines, verifying documents, and fulfilling eligibility criteria to avoid disqualification.
