GGSIPU Launches Structured AI Framework for Education, Governance

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) organised the Flagship National Conclave on “AI Evolution – The Maha Kumbh of AI” at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC), New Delhi.
The national conclave brought together leaders, policymakers, regulators, academic visionaries and industry experts to deliberate on the future of Artificial Intelligence in India.
The conclave was graced by Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, Hon’ble Vice President of India, as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the gathering, the Vice President emphasised that India must be prepared to embrace modern scientific and technological developments, noting that AI is reshaping the way societies grow and evolve.
Describing AI as a landmark revolution, he stressed that academic syllabus must continuously adapt to contemporary demands. He underlined the importance of constructive use of technology, self-reliance in technology as envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and highlighted the establishment of three Centres of Excellence in AI for healthcare, agriculture and smart cities, while calling for a strong focus on responsible AI.
In his address, Shri. Ashish Sood, Hon’ble Minister of Education, Government of of Delhi remarked that the future of AI cannot be nurtured in silos. He described education as a process of liberation and emphasised the responsible adoption of AI in academic missions.
Appreciating GGSIPU’s leadership, he noted that the University has already demonstrated its capability through initiatives in large language models (LLMs) and AI-enabled education.
Sharing Delhi Government initiatives, he spoke about Vidya Samiksha Kendra, AI-powered education dashboards and AI intervention in schools of Delhi that engage students in solving real-time civic problems of the city.
Welcoming the dignitaries, Sandeep Kumar Ghosh, Publisher, Outlook, stated that AI must be used for judicious and informed decision-making.
Addressing the conclave, Padm Shri Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor, GGSIPU, presented the University’s larger vision of using AI in education. He stated that GGSIPU has consciously reimagined education to make it adaptive, inquiry-led and future-ready.
He shared that the University has developed a comprehensive framework for AI adoption in education, rooted in sovereignty, responsibility and the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. On the occasion, GGSIPU released two seminal works, “AImagineering” and “AI Shakti”, which lay down the philosophical and operational foundations for AI-enabled learning, not only for India but for the global academic community.
Prof. Verma further highlighted GGSIPU’s partnership with Yotta for creating end-to-end AI-enabled education ecosystem. He explained that AI at GGSIPU is being embedded as an academic companion across courses, enabling learning to move from memorisation to mastery.
The conclave was enriched by the presence of Prof. T. G. Sitharam, Chairman, AICTE.
This Conclave reaffirmed GGSIPU’s commitment to responsible innovation, national capacity building and collaborative leadership.
