Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation has taken the International Film Festival of Delhi 2026 beyond traditional venues, hosting a week-long film screening at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University campuses.
The screenings, held from March 26 to March 31, are part of a collaboration between DTTDC and the university. Pop-up inflatable theatres have been set up at both campuses to make cinema more accessible to students.
These temporary theatres are fully equipped with projection, sound systems, seating and climate control, offering a complete viewing experience within a portable setup.
On the opening day, a mix of international films was screened, including Malai – Man Behind the Forest, Auto Queens, Room at the Farm, Draped in Silence, Anaar Daana, Thursday Special, P for Paparazzi, The Unknown Film Maker, Waai and Achappa’s Album. Several internationally acclaimed films are scheduled to be shown through the week.
With a dedicated film school at the university, the screenings are expected to give students exposure to global cinema and storytelling formats beyond the classroom.
