TCS, BITES Open Registrations For IT Quiz TechBytes Across Karnataka

Tata Consultancy Services and Board for IT Education Standards have opened registrations for the 17th edition of TCS TechBytes, an annual IT quiz for engineering students across Karnataka.
The quiz is open to BE and BTech students from all streams and semesters. Each college can send up to 10 teams, with two students in each team. There is no fee to take part. Entries have to be sent through colleges by April 13.
The quiz will run in six cities. Regional rounds are scheduled in Kalaburagi on April 15, Hubballi on April 17, Mangaluru on April 22, Mysuru on April 24, Tumakuru on May 2 and Bengaluru on May 5. The state final will also be held in Bengaluru on May 5.
Winners and runners-up at the regional level will get gift vouchers worth Rs 12,000 and Rs 10,000. They will move to the state final, where the top teams can win scholarships of Rs 85,000 and Rs 50,000.
Organisers said the quiz will test students on how technology is used across sectors. Topics will range from artificial intelligence and cybersecurity to banking, sports, media and the history of IT. The aim is to help students stay in touch with fast-changing tech trends and prepare better for jobs in the field.
