Clientell, an early-stage RevOps startup has raised $2.5 million in a seed round of funding led by Blume Ventures with participation from Chiratae Ventures, Artha Venture Fund and Silicon Valley based Z5 Capital. The company had previously raised $600,000 from Chiratae Ventures’ sonic cohort at the end of 2021, co-led by Artha Venture fund. The funds currently raised will be used for strengthening the product and expanding the team.
Enterprises globally are spending over USD 20 billion on building and managing their CRM tech stack which traditionally was done by large consulting firms for enterprises. With 10x RevOps it’s possible to bring that down significantly indicating a massive opportunity. A growth stage SaaS company has over 15 tools in their GTM tech stack amounting to 20% of their overall SaaS spends. They also have to spend significant time in iterating this tech stack along with training their employees leading to slower turn-around times and creation of data silos. Clientell is focused on leveraging AI to significantly improve productivity, reduce costs spent on multiple tools and increase data quality.
Clientell is a Revenue Operations company on a mission to build the easiest forecasting and pipeline assessment experience. Clientell deploys custom forecasting processes and ML models for each customer rather than using a one size fits all approach. Its key differentiator is the agility in deployment and intuitive user experience as often sales teams don’t end up using a lot of tools. There is a conversational interface that can be used anywhere running from google sheets, email, LinkedIn, slack, teams or wherever the user is working rather than they having to learn a new tool.
Clientell’s users are primarily Chief Revenue Officers and Go-to-market leaders using their AI-copilot to boost GTM execution and optimise pipeline governance and forecasting. The company is currently working with initial design partners and early adopters spanning growth-stage SaaS companies and large pharmaceutical companies.
Since their last round, the team has focused on building the core AI platform and core AI capabilities around combining generative AI with traditional machine learning to provide highly accurate insights to decision-makers in a conversational medium.
Clientell was founded by BITS Pilani alumni Saahil Dhaka and Neil Sarkar, while in their final year of college in 2021. The founding team includes emerging experts in AI with experience in building products focused on building intuitive AI applications.
Saahil Dhaka, Founder & CEO, said, “When the world is talking about 10x developers we’re focused on bringing useful AI products to help 10x salespeople, CRM developers, and GTM leaders.”
“Clientell is targeting the leaky revenue bucket and the lack of comprehensive revenue intelligence and predictability for enterprise sales teams. As AI penetrates different functions of the enterprise, an AI first end to end connected approach will help sales teams to benefit immediately from deeper insights on their deals and revenue milestones – which Clientell’s platform can unlock. Saahil and Neil are passionate founders, obsessed about the problems they are solving for sales teams, and bring complementary strengths across GTM, product and engineering. We are excited to partner with the Clientell team on their exciting journey by leading their seed fundraise.” Sanjay Nath, Blume Ventures, added.
“We strongly believe that Revenue Operations as a space can be disrupted with the advent of newer technologies. Saahil and Neil continue to impress us with their vision, and, early customer feedback on the platform that they have built has been super positive. Very happy to be part of the Clientell journey and to continue to support them in this financing round,” Venkatesh Peddi, Managing Director and Partner, Chiratae Ventures mentioned.
