Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Founding Chancellor of LPU and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), emphasized LPU’s approach in reaching out to the world as a well-thought-out one. “Internationalization at LPU is neither a desire nor a goal but a goal-oriented academic mission. Our partnerships are designed with long vision so that the students get exposure to experience which is academically enriching and internationally relevant,” he said. LPU’s international achievement is at its core the Division of International Affairs, a one-stop care platform for international education pathway-tackling students. From finding the appropriate international universities and courses to help in applications, visa processes, and study itineraries, the department has a crucial role in guiding students to make the correct decision with confidence. Institutional counseling has been particularly effective since most of the students in small towns and cities don’t have access to sufficient information and guidance on international studies.

Besides outbound mobility, LPU is also internationally present with its dynamic and international academic population on campus. With over 200 permanent international teachers from over 50 nations and another 1,000+ visiting international specialists, the university has developed a dynamic culture of cross-cultural learning and exchange.
