Gen-Z Career App ‘Beep’ Launches, Claims 30,000+ Placements

Pune-based EdTech startup Beep App, formerly known as EventBeep, has announced the launch of Beep App, positioning the app as a career-focused tool designed to convert everyday digital consumption into tangible career outcomes for Gen-Z users.
At a time when young users spend significant hours on short-form content, much of which offers limited long-term value, Beep is built around a different premise. It focuses on transforming passive scrolling into structured career action. The app targets late school students, college undergraduates, postgraduates and early-stage professionals, offering a unified ecosystem where users can discover career paths, understand role expectations, learn relevant skills and access internships and job opportunities.
While students today have unprecedented access to information, many still struggle with decision-making due to fragmented guidance and the absence of clear pathways from learning to employment. Existing platforms are largely split between entertainment-led social media and traditional course-based learning, often failing to connect these stages. Beep addresses this gap by simplifying career discovery into a more accessible, content-led format. Across domains such as artificial intelligence, product management, design, content and data analytics, the app presents structured insights covering role realities, required skills and step-by-step progression paths, supported by inputs from industry practitioners.
At the core of the app is what the company describes as a closed-loop model that enables users to learn, explore and earn within the same ecosystem. The emphasis, the company notes, is on outcomes rather than engagement alone. The model has already seen early traction, with the company reporting over 30,000 student placements facilitated through its ecosystem.
“Gen-Z does not lack ambition; what they often lack is structured direction,”said Saurabh Mangrulkar, Founder and CEO of Beep App. “The current digital environment offers exposure without clarity. The Beep App is designed to organise that exposure into actionable pathways so users can move from intent to execution with greater confidence. It aims to help users make informed decisions early, rather than navigating careers through trial and error.”
Rather than attempting to shift user behaviour, Beep is designed around it, leveraging the familiarity of short-form, scroll-based interfaces while embedding structured career insights and opportunities within that experience. Looking ahead, the company plans to expand across three areas. These include increasing the depth of career content across emerging sectors, strengthening its network of hiring partners to widen access to internships and entry-level roles, and building more personalised career pathways based on user behaviour and preferences.
The launch comes at a time when India’s employment landscape is increasingly shifting toward a skills-first model, where degrees alone are often insufficient without demonstrable capabilities and practical exposure.
Founded in Pune in 2021, Beep App has steadily expanded its presence within the student ecosystem and today connects millions of young users with career opportunities, mentorship and hiring platforms. The company reports serving more than 6.5 million users, while partnering with over 1,500 colleges and working with more than 7,800 hiring companies across India.
