APPSC Wraps Up Group-1 Exam 2025, Results Awaited

The most significant stages of the Group 1 Service Exam 2025 have at last been completed by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission. To choose officers for important gazetted roles in the state administration corps, including Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Superintendent of Police, and Assistant Commissioner of State Tax, this multi-stage competitive examination was given to thousands of students across the state. It is the most coveted employment. 

This test aims mostly to choose the most deserving people for jobs in the government and the legal system. The exam aimed to enhance district and state level policy implementation and government. The APPSC administers the most difficult Group 1 exam at the state level. Unlike the UPSC civil service exam, this one is approached with competitiveness and respect. 

One must be an Indian citizen with Andhra Pradesh home in order to be qualified to take the exam; this is a requirement for being nominated for reserved benefits. One needs an accredited institution bachelor’s degree. Although some positions, like Deputy Superintendent of Police, have an age range of 21 to 28 years, the age restriction varies according to the position. The APPSC gives preference to applicants from Andhra Pradesh who belong to the SC, ST, backward groups, women, athletes, and the physically challenged. 

The formal process started with the official announcement in late 2023. Between January 1 and January 21, 2024, the application window was open. March 17, 2024 saw the first screening test. The main exam, which was given to the candidate who passed the first round, took place between May 3 and May 9, 2025. Seven essays, qualifying papers in Telugu and English, and a descriptive test spanning history and culture, politics and ethics, economy and development, and science and environment made up the core exam, or main exam. 

On June 10, 2025, the official APPSC website posted the long-awaited primary finding. About 182 applicants were found suitable to go on to the final stage of the selection process, the main interview round. In PDF, the roll number of the candidates shortlisted was made public to preserve openness.

From June 23 to June 30, 2025, interviews were scheduled. Each candidate in Vijayawada’s APPSC office was questioned before a panel of top officials; the interview was valued 75 marks. By combining these scores with the results of the primary examination, the last list was compiled. Not just their academic ability will decide the final decision; rather, it will be their general suitability. 

Although the commission has not released the total number of candidates this year, it is clear that the competition was ferocious. Every mark has the potential to change a candidate’s career path, and the consequences are great. March 26, 2025 marked the start of the internet preference submission for post and zonal or district. Once the interview study is finished, the counseling and document verification procedure will start. 

For thousands of hopefuls in Andhra Pradesh, the Group 1 exams provide a beacon of hope. It gives applicants the chance to assist manage their state as well as evaluates their grasp of the subject. Interviewees and their families are currently looking forward the last result of the interviews. It will decide the future of 182 contenders who have made it to the last round of their rigorous procedure.
