The State Service Exam 2025, skillfully overseen by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC), is one of the most sought after recruiting strategies for the civil service in Chhattisgarh. Applications were asked for 246 open posts across different departments, including excise, finance, law enforcement, and administrative services, in the test notification issued on November 26, 2024. Three stages make up the exam: the interview, the preliminary assessment, and the main test. Last-year students were also allowed to apply in some situations, but only those with a confirmed bachelor’s degree qualified. On February 9, 2025, the Preliminary examination started the selection process with two objective-type exams assessing applicants: General Studies Two shifts across the state’s 33 counties saw the giving of Aptitude as well. Although the Prelims were used to screen, the results were ignored when compiling the last merit list. Along with a new cutoffs and modified model solution key, the commission released the conclusions of the study on March 11, 2025. A total of 3,737 people participated in the evaluation. The commission’s dedication to providing every applicant equal opportunity is shown in the fact that slightly more than five times the vacancy need have passed this level. 

The second phase is the Mains test, which runs from June 26 to June 29, 2025. Seven descriptive papers created over four days—period, which was far more complex and demanding—represented this. Five other essays in General were included in the course together with one on analytical skills, management competence, and awareness of particular countries and states. Aside from article writing, research on these subjects necessitates a language exam. Because each document was worth 200 points, this was the most crucial phase in determining which candidates should be on the merit list.

For candidates who had finished the Mains, the final stage was the Interview or Personality Test, which was worth 150 points. As opposed to written exams, this phase evaluates characteristics including leadership, decision-making, communication skills, and general suitability for administrative posts. The mains and the general performance in the interview will together generate the last merit list. 

Created in 2001, the CGPSC is the constitutional agency responsible for supervising state-level civil service examinations and offering counsel on government employment and service standards. Because the 2025 cycle confirmed itself as the way to administrative jobs in Chhattisgarh, it presents people with chances instead of just opinions.
