New Multi-sport Turf Set Up at Nagpur School

A school in Nagpur has got a new multi-sport ground, built to support different games in one place. The project was completed by Gallant Sports & Infra Ltd..
The ground has been designed mainly for football and athletics. It also has space for cricket practice, with nets and separate pitches. Along with this, areas for basketball and skating have been added so students can play different sports on the same campus.
The football field includes running track markings. This allows students to use the same space for both activities. The idea is to make better use of limited space in schools.
Different surfaces have been used for each sport. The football and running areas have artificial turf with cushioning. Cricket zones have a separate turf surface, while basketball and skating areas use tile-based flooring.
The facility also has fencing and lights. This helps in safe use and allows students to play in the evening as well. The ground is built to handle heat and rain, so it can be used through the year.
The project was completed in about two months. School officials said such facilities can help students take up sports more seriously and stay active.
